CANDLELIGHT dinner with kids – why NOT?

Last weekend we prepared a romantic candlelight dinner with our two elder daughters.

Why not have a special family dinner once in a while? It motivates them and makes the kids feel very important and we also like these special moments together as family. We decorated the table beautifully, put candles and little name plates with our names on the plates. We wrote our names with chalk on blackish shale stones we collected last summer on the beach of Almeria. It looked awesome! A simple and easy idea that does not cost anything and looks great. Very ECO-logical and ECO-nomical! The girls were very proud that they could participate in the dinner. This time we did not cook, but bought asian food. We all love sushi and raw fish in general, so we bought sushi, vietnamese rolls, wok vegetables and rice noodles and Chinese-style duck for our asian night.

Do you organize a special dinner with your children sometimes? Share your ideas with us…

I put the brands of our dinnerware and placemats for your reference at the end.

Happy weekend!

Very practical these chopsticks for kids! We received them as gift brought from China, but I saw that they are easily available.

Use chalk to paint flat shale stones: idea to decorate a table. Very ECO-logical and ECO-nomical and the result is so CHIC! Eventually we completed the family and put a stone for Stella as well, although she was sound asleep when we had the dinner.
