BIOBU by ekobo: ECO-CHIC kid’s dishware

Normally kids have plastic dishware, so they cannot break it. We used to have melamine plates when the twins were little (but never heat anything in the microwave on plastic dishware or Tupperware as chemicals enter the food – see my post) and also chinaware. I still conserve my kid´s chinaware I had when I was a child…

biobu-by-ekobo-design-kids-dishwareBiobu by Ekobo offers all design-fans a sustainable, healthy and stylish alternative: their ECO-CHIC tableware collection, handmade in Vietnam from biodegradable bamboo fibers, is the perfect alternative to melamine and other plastics that leach toxins when heated or from wear. So there’s no health risk, it is very durable and it is good for the environment as bamboo is one of our earth’s most renewable resources. Bamboo is a fast-growing, naturally regenerative woody grass which flourishes organically without pesticides, fertilizers or herbicides. It can be continuously harvested every 3 years without damaging the plant or the surrounding environment.

Great design by designer Boo LouisI love the style and six fun colors. It is perfect for daily use. We have been using it daily since some months now and it looks as awesome as at the beginning. It can hold hot and cold foods and liquids. They’re even dishwasher safe! Do not use it in the microwave. You can buy it in sets with a beautiful spoon as we did or separate pieces. I think I will buy some more…

By the way, I think it is a great gift for a new born or for a birthday!

Great design: beautiful outside and inside!

If you want to see my recommendation for a sippy cup made of stainless steel, see my post here

Ekobo also offers dishware in more grown-up styles that are also very pretty. biobu-by-ekobo-design-kids-dishware-12
